# Awesome CAN ID

> A single-README list that gathers links to CAN message identifier and payload decodings in one place, grouped by vehicle make and model under about 30 car brands and brand groups plus BMW, Ducati and KTM motorcycles. Its links lead to DBC files, decoding spreadsheets, wiki pages, sniffing notes and small libraries maintained elsewhere, after a Common section of general databases such as comma.ai’s opendbc and the OpenGarages CAN ID references.

## Requirements & limits

- The README, last changed by a merge on 2026-08-12, holds 148 links under 57 headings, the Common section and make, model and brand-group headings; the Acura, Lotus, Peugeot, DS, SAAB, Porsche and Seat headings are still empty. About 107 links go to GitHub and the rest to Google spreadsheets, wikis, forums and blog posts, several of them in Russian; two already point to Web Archive copies.
- Entries give only the make or model, a link and a short note such as a model year, ECU or bus name. They state no license, verification status or coverage. Applying the decodings means reading traffic on a vehicle bus with suitable interface hardware.
- Repository CI runs only awesome-lint. The list text is dedicated under CC0-1.0; linked databases, documents and code keep their own licenses and terms. Its footnotes point to the same maintainer’s CAN bus and LIN bus tool lists. An independent discovery list.
