# awesome-te

> A public-domain directory, started in June 2026, of hacking projects for Teenage Engineering devices: custom firmware, reverse-engineering notes and protocol documentation, tools, hardware mods, teardown and recovery guides and community hubs for the OP-1, OP-Z, OP-XY, TP-7, SP-1 Stem Player, EP series, Pocket Operators and other gear. One-line entries are grouped by device and task, each with a maintainer-assigned active, dormant or archived marker, and the scope rule admits only released, TE-specific projects.

## Requirements & limits

- The reviewed README, committed 2026-10-20 and marked as last reviewed that day, has 195 status-marked rows under 11 device sections and a cross-device section, some of them bundling several links: 136 marked active, 56 dormant and 3 archived. Under the contribution guide the marker reflects activity in the past 12 months; the weekly lychee workflow only checks that links resolve.
- Entries mix open-source projects, commercial apps and forum, wiki and repair pages, ranging from SysEx, file-transfer and file-format documentation to Ghidra Blackfin support, and include a few AI tools such as an SP-1 reference packaged as a Claude agent skill and an MCP server for the OP-1 field. Several firmware and flashing entries warn that they erase stored data or can brick a device.
- A few rows point to unofficial mirrors of OP-1 and OP-1 field firmware and to an OP-1 firmware decryptor; the list itself recommends Teenage Engineering's official downloads. Device firmware keeps its vendor's terms, and each linked project keeps its own license.
- The list and its contributions are dedicated to the public domain under CC0 1.0. An independent discovery list.
