# Cosmo: a native port of Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure

> Cosmo ports the reconstructed source of Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure: Forbidden Planet to macOS, Linux and Windows. It retains the game's logic and supplies an emulated EGA adapter, timer, keyboard controller, PC speaker and AdLib layer for the original code. The build uses the user's game data files.

## Requirements & limits

- **Prerequisites:** A source build requires CMake 3.21+ and C11 and C++17 compilers. SDL3 can be installed or fetched by CMake; the documented Windows builds use MinGW.
- **Prerequisites:** A source build requires the original game data files; Episodes 2 and 3 require the user's own copies.
- **Limits:** Joystick support is unimplemented, and frame-by-frame comparison against DOSBox remains incomplete.
- **License:** MIT License.
