# Dusklight: a native Twilight Princess port built on the decompilation

> Reimplements Twilight Princess as a native application for desktop and mobile platforms, building on the zeldaret/tp decompilation and the Aurora GameCube/Wii compatibility layer. It runs from the user’s own disc image with no bundled assets and aims to stay accurate to the original while adding options, enhancements and mods.

## Requirements & limits

- **Prerequisites:** No copyrighted assets are provided: the user supplies a dump of their own disc, and README says every commercial disc except the Korean Wii release is supported. The executable reads ISO (GCM), RVZ, WIA, WBFS, CISO and GCZ images directly.
- **Prerequisites:** Runtime needs a GPU with D3D12, Vulkan 1.1+ or Metal; D3D11 and Android OpenGL ES are best-effort without full accuracy or performance. The pinned tree has Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, tvOS and Android platform folders, and CI builds Linux, macOS, iOS, Android and Windows targets. Source builds need CMake 3.25+, Python 3, the listed per-OS toolchains and recursive submodules, including Aurora.
- **Scope:** README calls Dusklight a reverse-engineered reimplementation that aims to be as accurate as possible while adding options, enhancements and tools. It is based on the zeldaret/tp decompilation, which README says is matching only for GameCube, so Wii discs still show the GameCube HUD and other GameCube specifics. This is a modified port, not a matching rebuild of the original executable.
- **Testing evidence:** The CI workflow builds packages but runs no comparison against the original game. Accuracy and enhancement claims are project-reported.
- **License:** LICENSE.md is CC0-1.0; it does not cover Nintendo’s game or disc content, and submodules such as Aurora and the randomizer mod are separate repositories. README says the project does not accept primarily AI-generated contributions and warns of unaffiliated sites spreading AI-generated misinformation.
