# Frida Snippets

> A single large README that collects hand-written Frida instrumentation examples, grouped into Native, Android and iOS sections, for observing how a running app behaves. The examples show patterns such as attaching interceptors, enumerating loaded modules and classes, describing class members, tracing method arguments and return values, printing backtraces, logging SQLite queries and I/O, and scanning or dumping process memory. A scripts directory adds helper code, including Python generators that emit hook stubs from a decompiler and a frida-server install script, plus editor snippets for Sublime and Vim.

## Requirements & limits

- A reference collection, not an installable package: the content is the README and the scripts directory at the reviewed commit (last pushed 2024-11-29). The snippets assume a current Frida and are written for its JavaScript API with some ObjC and Java bridge calls; running any of them needs a separate, matching Frida install, which the repository does not pin.
- Examples run against an app the analyst controls: Android snippets expect a device or emulator with a frida-server (the bundled install_frida_server.sh pushes one over ADB), and the iOS notes assume a jailbroken device. Scripts are standalone and uneven in quality, with several explicitly marked work-in-progress (WIP) files, and one JEB plugin that copies a generated hook to the clipboard needs JEB and xclip.
- The target app comes from the user; the repository ships only example code and one demonstration GIF, no app binaries. It is intended for instrumenting software the analyst is authorized to analyze.
- No license file is present and GitHub detects no license, so the examples carry no granted reuse terms and default to all rights reserved by the author.
