# GoldenEye 007: an agent-assisted native port from a decompilation

> Builds a native PC port on the existing GoldenEye 007 decompilation, with a host platform layer and assets extracted from the user’s ROM. The project documents agent collaboration, rendering comparisons, playtest scope and unresolved platform support.

## Requirements & limits

- **Prerequisites:** The reviewed v0.5.0 documentation supports Windows 10/11 x64 and x86-64 Linux/Steam Deck with glibc 2.31+; both need OpenGL 3.0 drivers. macOS and ARM builds remain planned, despite the broader repository About description.
- **Prerequisites:** Release packages require the user’s US NTSC-U ROM; PAL and Japanese releases are not yet supported. This is a native port from decompiled source, not static binary recompilation.
- **Prerequisites:** Source builds need CMake 3.16+, C/C++, SDL2, zlib, OpenGL, Python 3 and the documented asset-extraction tools.
- **Testing evidence:** v0.5.0 playtests were campaign spot-checks and multiplayer sessions; the full Agent-difficulty campaign was last reported end-to-end at v0.4.0.
- **License:** MIT covers original port/build/tooling/docs work only. NOTICE states inherited n64decomp/007 material has no explicit upstream license, and vendored components have separate terms; the MIT file is not a blanket grant over all contents.
