# Legend of Legaia: a Rust port with disc-local browser tooling

> A from-scratch Rust port of the North American PlayStation Legend of Legaia includes native/browser play, asset extraction and disc patching. The author documents Ghidra/emulator research and a full-game ladder; this is a fresh implementation, not a matching decompilation or static recompilation.

## Requirements & limits

- **Prerequisites:** Supply an owned North American SCUS-94254 disc image; browser tooling reads the image locally. Source builds require a Rust toolchain supporting edition 2024.
- **Testing evidence:** The README reports New Game-to-credits coverage and parity oracles, but disc-dependent tests skip and pass without LEGAIA_DISC_BIN.
- **Limits:** Enhancements can differ from retail behavior; the README describes a retail-faithful mode. No Sony game executable, ROM or asset data is distributed.
- **License:** Project code and documentation offer Unlicense or MIT; these licenses do not grant rights to the original game.
