# Reverse Engineering (mytechnotalent)

> A free, English lesson index by mytechnotalent that grows almost daily: 490 numbered lessons, most of which have learners write small programs and then debug and patch ("hack") them, across x86, x64, 32/64-bit ARM, RISC-V and AVR. Early courses start from number systems, registers, memory and the stack; later ones cover microcontroller firmware on Raspberry Pi Pico/Pico 2, STM32F401, ESP32-C3, ATmega328P and micro:bit boards, plus Windows, Go, Rust and WebAssembly programs. The README is a table of links; the lesson text lives in a GitBook and in the author's other repositories and PDF books.

## Requirements & limits

- At reviewed commit 8ae661a (pushed 2026-10-18) the README lists 490 numbered lessons in 26 courses and headlines a dated "Today's Tutorial" (Lesson 329, 18 October 2026); the default branch has received commits on most recent days. Lesson 1 describes the x86 course as starting from the basic concepts of malware reverse engineering and working up to an entry-level look at assembly, while later courses assume that grounding. The Reverse Engineering Data course (lessons 461–490) is statistics and machine-learning notebooks, not binary analysis.
- No third-party target files are needed: most courses follow a write, debug, then patch pattern on programs the learner builds from the lessons. The embedded courses need physical boards (Raspberry Pi Pico and Pico 2/RP2350, STM32F401CCU6, ESP32-C3, ATmega328P, micro:bit), and the RISC-V course says it lists everything to purchase. The repository root also keeps Fritzing schematics and a few Windows MASM/Visual Studio example projects with their Debug builds.
- Toolchains are set out in the linked material rather than the README, which mentions GDB in the x86 course, a Linux install lesson and PlatformIO for the ESP32-C3. Most of lessons 1–203 point to the "Reverse Engineering For Everyone!" GitBook by @mytechnotalent (built by @0xInfection); later lessons point to PDF books and lesson files in the author's separate repositories, which move independently.
- The README's "Reverse Engineering Assistant" (REA) link is the author's own mytechnotalent/rea tool. The repository is Apache-2.0; linked books and repositories carry their own terms.
