Desktop Games Nostalgia: a macOS and browser port
A Swift/macOS and JavaScript/browser port recreates the Desktop Games screen-smashing toy from a captured image. The author documents Claude and REA/Ghidra work on the Peter interpreter, a decompiled program tree and extracted assets, with explicit visual differences and no project license.

Requirements & limits
- Prerequisites: Native use requires macOS 14+; Screen Recording access captures one screen image, while wallpaper mode is available without it. The browser version uses a simulated desktop and needs a mouse/keyboard.
- Attribution: The README attributes interpreter analysis to REA/Ghidra and the port to Claude Code; extracted images/sounds are included upstream. The effects alter an image, not the real desktop files.
- Limits: True-color rendering and translucent sprite shadows differ from the original palette renderer. The browser cannot capture the actual desktop; no independent parity measurements are supplied.
- License: The author explicitly provides no project license and retains Gemtree credit for original design/art/sound. Desktop decoration and other upstream assets retain their separate rights.
