Requirements & limits

  • Prerequisites: Requires user-supplied supported PAL RMCP01 revision 0 game data. Retro Rewind 6.13.3 needs matching separately obtained content and a compatible compiled profile in the reviewed 0.8.3 build.
  • Prerequisites: Android targets ARM64/Vulkan on Android 9+; iPhone/iPad require iOS/iPadOS 16+. The README documents a PadMint/source route for Apple Silicon macOS 14+, while the pinned status table still labels Mac experimental. tvOS 17+ is also an experimental preview.
  • Limits: Physical-device and emulator checks cover specific builds and devices. Missing graphics, freezes, controller and performance problems remain on some hardware.
  • Attribution: Substantial AI assistance is disclosed without an audited generated-code percentage.
  • License: KartPad-owned work is GPL-3.0-only, with upstream component terms retained. RIGHTS_AND_LICENSES separates software obligations from game-derived logic and assets; GPL does not relicense Mario Kart Wii.
