Pocket Tasks: reconstructing task state and persistence
A teaching case with disclosed prior source access carries a REA-assisted investigation of a small command-line app into a separate Node implementation. It preserves observed task editing, persistence and selection behavior, then compares scoped outputs against fixed expectations and captured reference sessions.

Requirements & limits
- Scope: Pocket Tasks 1.0.0 is an authored local command-line app, not a commercial app or native-binary benchmark. The Node.js 20+ candidate implements nine commands and schema-1 JSON storage with only the standard library and disposable local stores; there is no GUI or network backend.
- Attribution: The REA excerpt identifies the target bytes but keeps semantic coverage unknown, with 230 semantic unknowns; it is not a canonical Evidence bundle, and the later Node validator does not repeat the REA session.
- Attribution: The author saw the target source, scenarios, tests and prior answers before implementing.
- Testing evidence: Reported 16/16 checker sessions (12 scenarios) and 10/10 replays (seven scenarios) overlap; expectations are hand-authored, and the report keeps humanReview=pending, reaTrial=unverified and independentEvaluation=false.
- Testing evidence: Six recorded hashes and the oracle digest match the reviewed source, but the TASK.md packet hash matches an earlier wording-only revision, so the packet is historical evidence. A restricted-Windows attempt (five passes, four failures) preceded nine passes with unchanged code.
- Limits: Limits: 64 commands and 65,536 UTF-8 bytes per invocation, 32 tasks and 80 UTF-16 code units per title. Concurrent writers, crash durability, filesystem races, UI, hidden backends and production performance are outside the parity claim. MIT covers the authored example only.
