premium5 emulates the Volkswagen Premium 5 car radio at the register and signal level so its original firmware can run without patches. It models the NEC microcontroller, LCD controller, EEPROM and selected vehicle interfaces, with live disassembly, memory inspection and execution controls for firmware research.

Requirements & limits
- Prerequisites: A Premium 5 firmware binary is required.
- Prerequisites: PyPy and a modern CPU with strong single-threaded performance are needed to emulate the original 4.19 MHz speed.
- Limits: Audio output and the tape deck are not emulated.
- License: BSD-3-Clause.
