REDRIVER2: reconstructing Driver 2 through a PlayStation compatibility layer
Translates reverse-engineered Driver 2 MIPS routines into C/C++ and uses Psy-X/Psy-Cross to adapt PlayStation interfaces for desktop systems. The project documents symbol-assisted Ghidra/IDA work alongside intentional bug fixes and gameplay changes.

Requirements & limits
- Prerequisites: Requires the user’s copies of both Driver 2 discs. The pinned installation wiki lists English PAL EU and NTSC US revisions 1.0/1.1; other languages remain planned.
- Prerequisites: Documented play paths cover Windows and Linux; installation converts disc video/audio using Java. Linux runtime instructions list SDL2 and OpenAL; original game content is not supplied by the project.
- Prerequisites: Source builds use submodules, Premake5 and a C++ toolchain. The Windows guide uses Visual Studio 2022; Linux builds link SDL2, OpenAL, OpenGL and libjpeg.
- Limits: The README reports a playable reconstruction but explicitly excludes the memory-card menu from its decompilation claim. Original bugs and some gameplay are deliberately changed; [D], [T] and [A] annotations distinguish decompiled, tested and altered code.
- License: MIT license for project code; original game data and third-party components retain their own rights.
